We can confidently say that the computer is a modern-day invention. However, certain findings may prove that is unlikely. A 2000-year-old hunk of metal with gears on it was found near the island of Antikythera in Greece 120 years ago and left people questioning everything we know about computers. The piece of metal was anything but ordinary. It is now believed to be the oldest known computer on the planet and was found among various other things in a shipwreck near the island, per BBC.

The iconic Double Arch, a renowned geological formation in Utah’s Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, collapsed unexpectedly on Wednesday, according to the US National Park Service. Archeologists in Israel discovered a biblically significant moat that divided Jerusalem into two parts hidden beneath a parking lot in the City of David. 

The manmade trench — researchers have sought answers on its existence for 150 years — was “one of the monumental fortifications that protected the kings of Jerusalem,” according to the Israel Antiquities Authority, the agency in charge of the dig at the Givati Parking lot.
