Megan Thee Stallion is a venomous vixen in the “Mamushi” music video.

Starring Japanese actor Shô Kasamatsu , the creative visuals are directed by Kevin “Onda” Leyva and produced by Tokyo-based creative company PUSH Japan.

The “Mamushi” video was filmed in various locations in Tokyo, including Tsurumaki Onsen Jinya for the initial spa scene and the Engaku-ji Temple, one of the pre-eminent Zen Buddhist temples in the country.

With special effects, action scenes, and dance breaks, the Houston rapper transforms into an actual Mamushi, a Japanese viper, and strikes, teaming up with Yuki Chiba, the featured musician on the trending song, to defeat a crew of gangsters. She then uses their souls to create an army of blue-faced soldiers in a scene that pays homage to Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film “DREAMS.”
