A scheduled performance from Boosie Badazz was cancelled after two men were shot and killed at the event before the rapper took the stage.

According to TMZ , the Baton Rouge native was set to perform at The Pull Up Car Show in Pacific Junction, IA. before things took a violent turn.

The affair, set to be filled with muscle cars, drag races, and live performances from various artists, was ended early due to the shooting, leaving the rapper to take his talents elsewhere in the midwestern city. Rob49 and Rich The Factor were also on the event’s lineup.

Per TMZ, both of the men who were killed were from Omaha, NE. Circumstances that resulted in the fatal shooting remain unclear. The Des Moines Register names the victims as Marcus L. Johnson, 28, and Charles A. Williams Jr., 27,  noting the incident occurred in the parking lot. An Omaha Police helicopter was utilized to assist in the search for at least three suspects, reportedly in a black Mercedes sedan.

“They just shut the concert down. I been in the back a couple hours waiting to perform…They just shut the concert down. I don’t know, some sh*t happened at the front but we’re going to take it to Crush Ultra Lounge, the party don’t stop,” shared the “Set It Off” rhymer to fans on Instagram.

“Guess they gon’ have to book me again in Omaha, but we finna…we finna take it to Crush man. Official after party.”

Fans hoping to catch Boosie Badazz soon can see the rapper on stage in Houston at the 2024 Pepsi National Battle of the Bands. Taking place on Aug. 25 at NRG Stadium, the 41-year-old will deliver his best as the marching bands of various Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) face off on the field in the event’s 10th anniversary.

Participating schools are as follows: Jackson State University, The Sonic Boom of the South Miles College, Purple Marching Machine Southern University, Human Jukebox Tennessee State University, Aristocrat of Bands, Bethune-Cookman University, Marching Wildcats Prairie View A&M University, Marching Storm Texas Southern University, “Ocean of Soul” Tuskegee University, and the Marching Crimson Pipers.
