YG Posts-And-Deletes “Lion” And “Cheetah” Emojis After Heated Argument With Girlfriend, Saweetie

Days after cops were called to YG and Saweetie’s home due to a loud argument that alarmed their neighbors, the Compton rapper took to social media with another subtle hint that things between the couple may not be in the best place.

A late post shared Tuesday (Aug. 13) found YG adding both lion and cheetah emojis to his Instagram Stories. While he deleted the post, several social media pages and fans screenshot the message and immediately interpreted it to mean the “NANi” rapstress is a “lying cheater,” because what else could it mean?

“Somebody be lying & cheatin,” wrote a fan within TSR’s comment section, with another adding for those who couldn’t crack the code, “ITS ‘LYING CHEATER’ YALL, DAMN.”

Others called out the “FDT (F**k Donald Trump)” artist for not being straight-forward with his accusations, with one critic writing, “We too old to be talking in emojis YG. Say it with your chest boo.” Another added in agreeance, “Imagine a grown man subbing you with jungle cat emojis.”

Some observers even showed love to Saweetie, assuming that if she did cheat, it was probably a “cheat back” situation.

“I guess he met his match,” wrote one commenter, with another adding, “They want forgiveness when they do it, but be crying, sick, and depressed when we join in on the fun!”

Neither YG nor Saweetie has addressed the post after its deletion.

Rumors of there being trouble in paradise began to swirl this week after neighbors called the cops on the couple during a loud argument, allegedly over a cell phone. No physical contact was reported, and a noncriminal report was taken before officers left the scene.

The pair began dating in April 2023, following YG’s spilt from Kehlani, and Saweetie parting ways with Quavo.
