The Braxtons arrives on WEtv more than three years after the family of entertainers last graced the small screen with Braxton Family Values . The new show follows the Braxton sisters and family matriarch Ms. Evelyn as they balance new gigs and commitments , while navigating the death of Traci Braxton, who passed away from cancer in 2022 at the age of 50.
In a press release, WEtv says, “The series will feature never before seen private moments, from quarantine to the devastating loss of their sister Traci and taking viewers into their lives as the build this new chapter without her.”
This season will also follow Toni as she launches her Las Vegas residency , “Love and Laughter,” with Cedric the Entertainer, while Tamar attempts a comeback on the music and acting scene . Towanda takes on a new role looking after Traci’s son, Kevin, while trying to balance her own family commitments. And viewers will see Trina, as she pursues new business opportunities while dealing with “two sons navigating adulthood.” As for Evelyn? WEtv says, “Ms. Evelyn is determined to help her daughters heal together, turning pain into promise as they use the pain to power themselves and band together.”
