Justin Riley otherwise known as BeatKing has died at the age of 39. The Houston rapper passed of a pulmonary embolism.

The rapper was at a local radio station in Houston when he passed out. He was pronounced dead on Thursday at the hospital.

BeatKing’s rep Tasha Felder, confirmed news of BeatKing’s passing via social media.

“Today, August 15, 2024, we have lost @Clubgodzilla,” she wrote on Instagram Thursday. “BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters @clubgodparenting, his music and his fans. We will love him forever.”

Felder confirmed that his daughters were by his side in the hospital at the time of his passing.

Pulmonary embolism is a potentially life-threatening condition that occurs when a blood clot gets lodged in an artery in the lungs, blocking blood flow.

Per ABC , “PE often originates from deep vein thrombosis (DVT), where blood clots form in the deep veins of the legs or other parts of the body. When these clots break free, they can travel through the bloodstream to the lungs, causing a blockage.”
