Janet Jackson Officially Announces Las Vegas Residency

Janet Jackson is headed to Sin City. On Wednesday (Aug. 21), the globally acclaimed pop star announced plans for a Las Vegas residency. Set to kick off this winter holiday season, the affair stands as her venue debut at Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas. The anticipated event was teased earlier this month.

JANET JACKSON: LAS VEGAS kicks off with back-to-back performances beginning Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, and the following night on New Year’s Eve. The schedule continues in winter 2025 with eight additional performances announced, including Valentine’s Day Weekend. The show is described as bringing “world-class attitude, starpower, and the experience of a lifetime for fans from around the world.”

The residency follows the second leg of the 58-year-old’s Together Again tour . VIBE described the first run as a “celebration for diehard fans” as Jackson hit the road with Ludacris and commemorated her 50th anniversary in music and entertainment and honored milestones for three of her albums: 35 years of Rhythm Nation, 30 years of janet , and 25 years of The Velvet Rope .

“Janet Jackson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music,” explained Bobby Reynolds, Senior Vice President, AEG Presents Las Vegas.

“We could not be more thrilled to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip and her venue debut at our award-winning Resorts World Theatre, and to kick off 2025 with a run of sure-to-be-unforgettable shows. This is a residency fans won’t want to miss.”

Her last Las Vegas residency was in 2019 with her Metamorphosis showcase at Park MGM, running from May through August in 2019 over 18 shows. The affair observed the 30th anniversary of her classic work Rhythm Nation 1814.
