DaniLeigh’s DUI, Hit-And-Run Arrest Bodycam Footage Revealed, Quavo Makes Appearance

DaniLeigh was arrested in May of last year for a DUI and hit-and-run. Now, the bodycam footage from that night has been revealed.

On Friday (Aug. 23), footage surfaced online showing the R&B singer apparently intoxicated and police asking her if she recollected hitting someone on a scooter. Dani denied hitting someone and also denied being inebriated.

In the midst of it all, Quavo surprisingly walked by and asked officers for information on what was happening with Dani. As the cops turned him away, DaniLeigh could be heard telling them that she’s a “R&B singer” and they can’t “arrest” her. She also could be heard saying that whatever “witnesses” saw, were “lies.”

In another part of the video, the 29-year-old was asked to performed several sobriety tests , which she failed, and was placed in the back of the police vehicle.

Dani was booked on three charges: driving under the influence , leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury, and DUI damage to property. She was convicted in February after pleading no contest to misdemeanor and felony charges, and sentenced to five years of probation.

The victim who Dani hit reportedly suffered a “lacerated kidney and a fractured spine.” In the bird’s-eye footage, she can be seen speeding into the victim and then continuing to drive before police eventually pulled her over.

At one point Dani even appeared to be laughing when officers told her that the victim might be “dead.” She asserted that “no one was dead,” and if she really hit someone, they would be.
