Wendy Williams was spotted shopping in New Jersey, seemingly in good spirits.

According to PageSix, the famed host was gifted products from the Bolingo Balance shop, run by the late Dr. Sebi’s son Victor Bowman. During her trip, which took place last week, she was described as “sharp, upbeat and aware” and “very bubbly.”

The tabloid reported that the 60-year-old’s son Kevin Hunter Jr. assisted his mother. Williams herself was said to be “engaging but wasn’t as familiar with what we do here, so her son was more explaining things.”

Items given to Williams included sarsaparilla, contribo, bottano oil, and  Dr. Sebi’s son’s capsules.

In February 2022, Williams was placed under court-ordered guardianship after her bank, Wells Fargo, requested an inquiry into her well-being to New York Supreme Court Judge Arlene Bluth. According to PEOPLE Magazine, “Wells Fargo has strong reason to believe that [Williams] is the victim of undue influence and financial exploitation.

“They say that I need somebody to handle my account. And I don’t want that,” Williams explained in an interview the following month. “I want all my money. I want to see all my money that I’ve worked hard for my entire life. My entire life. I don’t lie, I don’t cheat and I don’t steal. I am an honest, hard-working person.”

In February of this year, Williams revealed she had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. In the past, she has been open about her plight with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema, as well as other health-related issues.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and front temporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances,” a statement confirmed.

That same month, Lifetime released a documentary, Where Is Wendy Williams? However, the project has been labeled “exploitative” by her publicist Shawn Zanotti. Her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, echoed similar beliefs, describing the non-fiction work as a “blatant exploitation of a vulnerable woman with a serious medical condition,” adding that it “cannot be allowed.”
