Desiigner has previewed a new song dissing 50 Cent after the rapper revealed he passed on signing him to a record deal. According to Fif, it was due to his fear of the rapper being a one-hit wonder.

Speaking with Gillie Da Kid and Wallo of Million Dollaz Worth of Game during his Humor & Harmony Weekend, Fif recalled meeting with Desiigner in 2016 following the release of his breakout single, “Panda,” a hit record that sparked a bidding war the G-Unit leader ultimately chose to bow out of.

According to the “Many Men” rapper, Desiigner’s lack of musical material beyond “Panda” gave him cause to pause , despite the sheer ubiquity of the record. “I said, ‘That’s it?'” the 49-year-old said of the Brooklyn rapper’s sparse discography at the time.

“And the sh*t was so hot that he had, I was struggling,” he added. “And I was like, ‘Nah, I can’t give that ni**a that money, let them give him whatever they’re gonna give him.'” Fif also struggled to remember Desiigner’s name during his recollection of their sit-down, seemingly adding further insult to injury.

After catching wind of the interview, Desiigner immediately got defensive, hitting the studio to record a track dissing the mogul, which he released on Instagram, but has since been deleted. “Response back to 50 Cent,” he captioned the video, which captured him inside of a car, rapping along to a rough version of song.

“POV: Another HIT,” he added in the text. However, the brunt of his ire was conveyed on the actual track, which found him rejecting Fif’s notion that he would have accepted a recording contract from him.

“Ni**as talking that 50 Cent, I be talking 50 mil,” he can be heard rhyming. “I got signed to Kanye, lil ni**a, you was never worth a deal.” The 27-year-old also pointed out the success of “Panda,” which stands as one of the biggest debut rap singles of the past decade and has afforded him the ability to perform at shows “all around the planet.”

“I might not have had every record that went diamond, but come to my shows and see how I activate the crowd,” he stated in the clip. “You know how hard it is to catch a diamond record? I’m one of the few artists in New York City out of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn to go diamond. And people over here trying to judge me for a diamond record.”
