Lauren London recently appeared on A Really Good Cry podcast with Radhi Devlukia, where she recounted her first encounter with the late love of her life, Nipsey Hussle.

During the sit-down, London reflected on their romantic relationship which began in 2013 and was cut short in 2019, when the “Victory Lap” rapper was gunned down in front of his Marathon clothing store in Los Angeles.

“I do remember how we met,” the actress began while adding that she was working on a set and wanted to gift her co-workers Crenshaw merchandise. “I was like, ‘It would be really cool if I, like, got them his mixtape and all the Crenshaw stuff.’” She added, “I didn’t get the discount, either.”

London then admitted to following Nip on Instagram where he ended up DMing her to say thank you for supporting his brand.

“He DM’d me, like, ‘Hey, thank you. Thanks for the support, appreciate you, send me your sizes so I can send you a personal box,’” she went on before sharing that he gave her his number, too. “I text him, because I was like, I don’t do DMs… Yeah, I thought he was fine.”

After dating for three years, the couple welcomed a son in 2016 named Kross Ermias Asghedom. Nipsey also has a daughter from a previous relationship , as Lauren also has a son with Lil Wayne.

Tragically, on March 31, 2019, Nipsey was shot and killed outside of his beloved store, and since then, his loved ones and Hip-Hop have continued to keep his legacy alive.

In 2020 London partnered with Puma for the “Forever Stronger” collection, which was a tribute to the West Coast star. Proceeds from the line went into his Neighborhood Nip foundation. After staying off the big screen for some time, the 39-year-old made her return in 2020 with the movie Without Remorse and Netflix’s You People.
