After two years of giving the fans her signature reddish-orange hair color — via her natural curls and various wigs and weaves — Bronx rapper Ice Spice has finally decided to switch it up. Debuting a new color during her Wednesday night out in NYC, the Y2K! artist rocked black tresses in the same style as her famous “Munch” curls during the star-studded 2024 Victoria’s Secret runway show .

Ice Spice arrived to the event with her new ‘do while rocking a sheer sequin dress beneath a lavish pink fur coat and stacked pink heels. Check out snaps of Spice’s latest look below.

Her latest look is actually a return to her roots, as the rapper born Iris Naija Gaston is a natural brunette, not redhead, according to high school images she shared during a chat with MTV. She routinely dyes her own hair her favorite copper-ginger shades and has her team produce wigs that also fit her signature style.

Spice discussed her hair journey with British Vogue in an April 2023 story, sharing, “Besides the current curly short ‘fro, I’ve had pretty much every hairstyle in the book. And every time I change my hair, I look like a different person. I’ve done curly wigs, straight wigs, short wigs, long wigs; I’ve done braids, swoops — basically everything. I tried everything and just got back to square one.”
