In a significant development in the streaming world, DJ Akademiks has been banned from Twitch, following a controversial live stream that aired last week.
The ban comes on the heels of Akademiks hosting OnlyFans star Gucci Third Leg, who addressed allegations that he had infected another OnlyFans creator with a sexually transmitted disease .
The stream, which drew considerable attention for its graphic content, ultimately led to a violation of Twitch’s strict policies regarding banned creators.
During the broadcast, Gucci Third Leg made headlines with his candid remarks, stirring up both intrigue and outrage among viewers. However, the controversy escalated when popular streamer Adin Ross joined the conversation.
Ross, who was previously banned from Twitch for unspecified violations, appeared on the stream, inadvertently setting off a chain of events that would culminate in Akademiks’ suspension.
Twitch’s community guidelines explicitly prohibit banned creators from appearing on the platform, and Ross’ presence on the stream raised eyebrows.
While the graphic nature of the content may have potentially played a role in the backlash, it appears that the primary catalyst for Akademiks’ ban was this breach of Twitch’s terms of service.
Despite the setback, DJ Akademiks remains active on other platforms, including YouTube and Rumble. Known for his candid commentary on Hip-Hop culture and internet trends, Akademiks has built a significant following outside of Twitch, proving that he is far from silenced by this latest development.
This is not the first time DJ Akademiks has been banned from a platform for violating its terms. According to Streambans , the pundit’s Twitch ban marks the fourth time Akademiks has been prohibited from using a platform over the past five years.
In each of those instances, the ban was ultimately lifted and he was allowed back on the platform.
