Safaree recently took to social media to drop a bombshell: security footage showing Mena getting physical with him. The clips, stitched together from various incidents, reveal Mena shoving Safaree and even damaging property in their home—all while their children watch.
In a candid moment with his followers, Safaree explained his decision to share the footage, saying, “I have to put myself first. Because I’m either gonna end up in jail or worse dealing with someone whose anger management is nonexistent.”
The rapper and TV star didn’t shy away from taking accountability either, admitting he should have recognized the signs of Erica’s volatility before starting a family with her. “When you have children with someone, I should have just noticed certain things when it came to parenting,” he reflected.
Safaree’s most recent revelation follows the pair’s back-and-forth over child support payments, with him seeking to lower his payments of $4,000 a month. Safaree publicly claimed that he’s not making the same amount of money that he once did and explained how he’s asked Erica to pitch in on his legal fees. The 43-year-old father-of-two also argued that he’s been spending significantly more time with their kids other than the agreed-upon 12 days a month.
In response to his spill, Mena fired back with her own social media posts that challenged his claims. “Imagine trying to detect CS from your BM,” she vented in a since-deleted Instagram post. “You only seen your kids 16 times this whole year so far.” She also posted on her feed claiming that all of the videos he’s posting of her showed her “enraged” because he put her “health in jeopardy.”
With Safaree unveiling footage of Mena attacking him, the drama is sure to continue to unfold. The former video vixen and reality queen addressed the montage of incidents claiming she had evidence of Safaree trying to get into her home and begging to reconcile.
