Sexyy Red welcomes Big Meech home with the opportunity of a lifetime: a free concert. After news broke that Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory Sr. would be released from federal prison , Red took to social media with her gifting opportunity. “Where da welcome home party @ I’m [tryna] perform for da freeski,” the St. Louis native typed on X/Twitter. Much like everything else on the internet regarding Big Meech thus far, Flenory has yet to respond to the potential free Big Sexyy concert.

But Sexyy Red isn’t the only celebrity that’s celebrating Meech’s good news. Boosie hit social media after the news broke to commemorate Big Meech’s release, typing, “WELCOME BACK #BIGMEECH #LEGEND .”

Lil’ Meech, Flenory’s son, also reacted to the news. On Thursday morning (Oct. 17), Demetrius Flenory Jr. took to Instagram, posting a clip from the 1993 classic, A Bronx Tale . Lil Meech posted the scene of Lillo Brancato at the funeral, saying, “My father always said that I when I got older I would understand.”

As previously reported, Demetrius “ Big Meech ” Flenory has been reportedly released from federal prison and transferred to a halfway house. According to The Jasmine Brand , Flenory is expected to be released back home in 2026 at the latest.

Journalist Philip Lewis reported on the news, typing, “Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson tells me Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory was transferred yesterday from FCI Coleman Low to community confinement (home confinement or halfway house). Flenory has a projected release date of Jan. 27, 2026.”

The Detroit News reported that the Black Mafia Family co-founder would walk free in 2026. Flenory was initially set to serve a 30-year sentence, which he was given in 2008. Brittany K. Barnett, Flenory’s attorney, initially had 32 months diced off of his sentence . However, after being found guilty of large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering, Barnett highlighted his client’s commitment to readjusting to society.
