    Fayette County man arrested on drug charges after police find fentanyl and methamphetamines in his vehicle

    VICTOR, WV (WVNS) — A Fayette County man faces drug charges.

    Rufus R. Keeney of Victor was pulled over just before noon on July 2, 2024 for a minor traffic violation in the Chimney Corner area.

    During the stop, deputies received consent to search the vehicle. A narcotics-detecting K-9 also gave a positive indication during the stop. Deputies found a quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamines, $1245 in US currency, and a ziplock bag of marijuana during the search.

    Keeney is charged with the felony offenses of Possession With Intent to Deliver a Schedule 1 Narcotic and Possession With Intent to Deliver a Schedule 2 Narcotic.

    Keeney was arraigned by a Fayette County Magistrate where he posted a $50,000 bond.
    He will now await further court proceedings.
