    Human Services Department - Senior Programs accepts applications for several volunteer positions

    PHOENIX, AZ - Are you interested for volunteering in Phoenix? You might be in luck, because the Senior Programs of Human Services Department is now accepting applications for several volunteer positions.

    Senior Center Ambassador

    A senior center ambassador will introduce visitors and prospective members to the senior center. Ambassadors also provide information about the center's services and activities, Describe membership packages, conduct tours of the center, and provide new or prospective members with information on membership packages. An ambassador also has to assist the public or organization members in operating computers to access the center's services and activities.

    As part of their service duties, ambassadors wear vests that make identification easier, and their social interactions must be friendly.

    The candidate must be at least 18 years old for this position, and there are 15 positions available.

    Senior Program Hospitality Volunteer

    This role involves helping plan, serve, and serve dishes at events, such as holiday parties, birthday parties, and other get-togethers when people meet for fun. Additionally, volunteers supervise and run the coffee service for fundraising activities, like selling snack foods at the center. The volunteer is also responsible for setting up and unloading the service area, arranging it properly, managing storage, and tidying up and bagging garbage.

    There are ten positions available for this volunteer work, and candidates must be 18 years old.

    Senior Program Office/Clerical Assistant

    This volunteer position is responsible for answering phones and preparing documents. Further, the member will accept requests for information from the public by telephone or in-person. As part of this position, you are expected to answer the phone, inform the public about the center in a friendly manner, and follow customer service procedures. The volunteers also perform routine administrative tasks, such as entering data, typing, creating archives, etc.

    The candidate should be computer literate since some of the assignments will require the use of a computer. This position will also require background checks for candidates applying for the job. Volunteers applying for this position must be at least 18 years old, and there are ten opportunities available.
