VICTORIA, Texas - Victoria Independent School District (VISD) has invited JCA Law to the July 18 regular school board meeting.

JCA Law was the firm selected by the school board to conduct the superintendent search during the June 18 meeting.

The legal services contract with JCA Law is set at an hourly rate of $335 not to exceed a total of $10,000. A second document shows the scope of services by Saul Hinojosa with JCA Law for a flat fee of $8,500 to be paid at the end of the search. It also mentions reimbursable expenses for mileage at .67 per mile.

The board plans to discuss a timeline for hiring a new superintendent, the recruitment process, and the active search process with the law firm during the meeting.

VISD's website has more information on the superintendent search.
