Bicentennial Fourth of July Blastoff at Riverside Park

VICTORIA, Texas - City of Victoria Parks and Recreation is hosting a Fourth of July celebration at Riverside Park on Thursday.

The celebration will include a fireworks show, live music, a baseball game, $1 Zoo admission, and more.

Attendees can view the fireworks from these park locations:

• The Children’s Park
• Riverside Park duck pond
• Riverside Golf Course parking lot
• Riverside Stadium
• Riverside Soccer Complex
• The Texas Zoo

The city has also set up designated overflow parking outside of the park:

• Red River Street and Young Drive
• Red River Street and Bluff Street
• Red River Street and Memorial Drive
• North intersection of McCright Drive and Memorial Drive (near the Easter Island head)

Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

Residents are also invited to play catch on the field and participate in a home run contest from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. before the baseball game starts.

Pat Matula and the Lone Star Playboys, Rick Evans, and Joel Nava will be performing before the fireworks show.

Stephanie Ross & the Southern Drive Band will perform at the Special Events Area, and Jeff Truss will play at the Riverside Stadium after the fireworks show.
