Heavy rain potential in the Crossroads, with flooding a real possibility

A deep tropical air mass over the area will keep rain chances high for the rest if the week. This in combination with a weak frontal boundary stalled over the area, daytime heating and introducing a tropical wave into the mix on Tuesday, resulting a widespread rainfall in the area, with the potential for heavy rainfall falling over the same areas could produce some localized flooding for low areas, creeks and rivers, and some streets and highways. With this pattern remaining over the area for most of the week, the treat of flooding will continue. Alert Days: Tuesday through Saturday for potential flooding.

With heavy rain chances all week, rain amounts will likely exceed 5 to 7 inches in some areas. Flooding possible. Clouds and rain will keep daytime highs in the 80's.
