A collision between three vehicles on Thursday afternoon left a Victorville woman dead, authorities said.

Elizabeth Faamaligi, 55, of Victorville died shortly after the 1:15 p.m. crash along Amargosa Road, just north of Eucalyptus Street, according to San Bernardino County coroner's records.

She had been driving a BMW 328d when she became involved in a collision with a Kia Sorento SUV and Toyota Camry, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials said.

Faamaligi was badly injured and flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment, where she died, according to coroner's and San Bernardino County Fire Protection officials.

Several other people who had been riding in the other two vehicles were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries, officials said.

No further details were available Friday afternoon.

Major Accident Investigation Team deputies are handling the investigation.
