    Victim wounded in shooting at Victorville gas station

    A person was wounded when gunfire erupted at a Victorville gas station on Friday evening, officials said.

    The shooting took place about 7:20 p.m. a the northwest corner of Mojave Drive and Amargosa Road, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department logs and radio traffic.

    "Deputies arrived and located a male subject with a gunshot wound," sheriff's department spokeswoman Gloria Huerta said.

    He was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition and age were unclear.

    No information regarding a suspect or motive was available as the investigation remained in its early stages Friday night.
