    Low-cost pet vaccinations, microchipping, registration offered in Adelanto

    Animal control officials are planning a low-cost pet vaccination, license and microchipping clinic in Adelanto next month.

    The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on June 8 at the Adelanto Animal Control Division, 11600 Air Expressway, city officials said.

    For dogs, rabies and Bordetella vaccines will be available for $8, while DHPP vaccines will cost $17, organizers said in a written statement. For cats, rabies vaccines will be available for $35. Vaccines against FVRCP/leukemia will be $30.

    Free microchipping will be offered to all Adelanto residents, while non-residents will be able to get a microchip for $15, officials said.

    Annual pet licenses will be available for $33. Seniors are eligible for a $10 discount.

    Only cash will be accepted at the event, and photo ID is required to prove residency.

    The clinic is being held in partnership with the Barstow Humane Society and Dr. Thomas Pierce.
