Homicide detectives investigate discovery of body in Hesperia field

Homicide detectives launched an investigation after a body was discovered in a dirt field in Hesperia early Monday, officials said.

The body was found about 6:50 a.m. in a field in the area of Escondido Avenue and Sultana Street, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's department.

No description of the victim was available, nor were further details regarding the circumstances of the death.
