    Tickets on sale for 25th San Bernardino County Sheriff's Rodeo

    Tickets are available for the upcoming San Bernardino County Sheriff's PRCA Rodeo , which will be celebrating its 25th year next month.

    The rodeo, which benefits a host of local charities, is scheduled to take place on Sept. 27, 28 and 29 at 11755 Glen Helen Parkway in San Bernardino, adjacent to Glen Helen Regional Park, organizers said.

    "This milestone year is a celebration of great American traditions, preserving our rich Western heritage, and a testament to our commitment to giving back to the community," Sheriff Shannon Dicus said in a written statement . "Our new slogan, 'Saddle Up,' encapsulates the spirit and excitement of this momentous event."

    Over the years, the rodeo has resulted in more than $1 million in donations to local community organizations, officials said.

    "Proceeds from the event continue to support the youth in our community with the ultimate goal of developing them into responsible citizens," according to the Sheriff. Recipients have included the Children's Fund, the Boy Scouts of America, Golden Circle of Champions and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

    The rodeo will feature "top-tier" Profession Rodeo Cowboys Association-certified cowboys and cowgirls competing in seven events, organizers said. It will by a qualifying event for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

    Guests for the Friday night show on Aug. 27 are encouraged to wear purple in support of domestic violence awareness. Saturday's show will be dedicated to pink and breast cancer awareness, while Sunday's theme will be red and blue, in support of military and public safety personnel.

    General admission tickets range in price from $20 to $35, depending on the day. Children six and under get in for $5. Parking requires an additional $10 fee.
