    Hesperia man accused of hit-and-run following rollover crash

    A Hesperia man was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run after fleeing the scene of a rollover collision on Wednesday night, authorities said.

    The crash took place about 8:15 a.m. at Main Street and Key Pointe Avenue, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials said.

    The first deputies to arrive discovered a vehicle had rolled over, and the driver was trapped inside, sheriff's officials said in a written statement . San Bernardino County firefighters were able to pull the victim from the vehicle. The driver suffered minor injuries, the statement said.

    Witnesses provided a detailed description of the other involved vehicle, which had fled the scene.

    Deputies soon found the silver Honda, which had front end damage, driving in the area of Sheffield Street and Rock Springs Road, according to the department.

    The driver, 32-year-old Antonio Jimenez of Hesperia, was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and released from custody with a citation, officials said.

    The case will be presented to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office for filing consideration.
