Vidor Police say possible body found in trunk was a mannequin

VIDOR — The Vidor Police Department was investigating the discovery of a female found in the trunk of a towed vehicle on Wednesday.

Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll said the vehicle was towed from a location in Orange County to Ray’s Wrecker Service, 21004 Interstate 10.

“The employee of the wrecker yard advised that while inventorying a vehicle that had been abandoned on private property; he saw what he believed to be human hair and a human leg under several blankets and pillows,” Chief Rod Carroll said. “At this time the wrecker employee contacted the Police Department.”

After receiving a search warrant, officers entered the vehicle to discover that the object under the sheets and pillows was a mannequin.
