VIDOR — The investigation into Thursday’s bank robbery in Vidor is continuing as officials seek leads in the crime.

Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll said they are working with the FBI on the case.

Police received a call at 11:12 a.m. Thursday that a bank robbery had just occurred at First State Bank of Texas in the 1400 block of North Main.

The caller told police that a black male in his late 30s entered the bank, displayed a gun and demanded money.

The man then left with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to Vidor police, the suspect entered a dark blue Ford late model step side pick-up.  The vehicle was last seen headed northbound on North Main towards IH-10. The vehicle did not have a license plate but did have a chrome license plate cover with a Ford Emblem within the cover.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Vidor Police Department and the FBI are investigating this case.

The bank is located in the 1400 block of North Main.

Police Chief Rod Carroll said the last bank robbery in the city occurred about two years ago.

Any information on the suspect or vehicle can be forwarded to Crimestoppers at 409-833-TIPS. You will remain anonymous and be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
