Boise, Idaho becomes sister city to Syracuse
SYRACUSE N.Y. — Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh and Boise, Idaho Mayor Lauren Mclean signed a joint proclamation Wednesday declaring the two cities as "sister cities." The sister cities will collaborate on economic initiatives, sustainability practices, educational exchanges, and cultural understanding. Under the 2022 CHIPS and Science Act, both cities are set to be leaders in the semiconductor industry, especially with the move in of Micron within the region.

Utica man accused of business break-ins
UTICA — A 60-year-old man is accused of breaking into at least four businesses in Utica last month, according to the Utica Police Department. Police said Richard Brown, of Utica, broke into a business in the 900 block of Eagle Street at about 4 a.m. July 26.
