GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - An hours-long standoff involving Grand Forks Police, the SWAT team and the FBI at an apartment complex in Grand Forks has ended. Grand Forks Police say just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22, they and the FBI were in the 1900 block of 12th Avenue North looking for 32-year-old Collin Posey who had two federal warrants and five Grand Forks County warrants. Ashby man sentenced to house arrest for his role in a fatal OTC crash
ASHBY, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Colton Lindquist of Ashby, MN was sentenced Monday afternoon to serve 90 days in the Otter Tail County Jail, for his role in a 2023 fatal crash. Court documentation says 60 of those days will be probation, the remaining days will be served on house arrest.

Fox, a one-year-old golden retriever, is the region’s first-ever facility dog. Sanford Health says a facility dog is different than a therapy dog because it works in a health care setting to provide comfort and is educated to assist with patient care, whereas a therapy dog is a personal pet that has been certified to visit the hospital and provide comfort and joy to patients and families.
