Sanford Children’s receives first-ever facility dog
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Patients at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo are now able to receive assistance in the form of man’s best friend. Fox, a one-year-old golden retriever, is the region’s first-ever facility dog. Sanford Health says a facility dog is different than a therapy dog because it works in a health care setting to provide comfort and is educated to assist with patient care, whereas a therapy dog is a personal pet that has been certified to visit the hospital and provide comfort and joy to patients and families.
2024 Missouri Valley Footbal releases preseason poll; NDSU placed at 2nd, UND at 5th
FARGO (KVRR) – The Missouri Valley Football Conference released their 2024 Preseason Poll and All-Conference teams. The North Dakota State University Bison were placed at second with one first place vote while the UND Fighting Hawks are fifth. The defending conference and state champion, South Dakota State University Jackrabbits were chosen to finish in first.

LOUIS, Mo. – After tying for third in the Missouri Valley Football Conference last season, North Dakota was picked fifth in the annual preseason poll conducted by league coaches, media and sports information directors from the conference on Monday. MnDOT is overseeing a pair of transformative projects that began this year along the interstate.
