For the first time, the Saluting Our Heroes celebration will include veterans of the Korean War, alongside the esteemed “Greatest Generation” heroes of World War II. With the number of World War II Veterans steadily declining, organizers have decided to honor Veterans of the Korean War, often referred to as “America’s Forgotten War,” which was fought between 1950 and 1953. It’s free for WWII and Korean War Veterans plus one guest, otherwise, tickets are $50 each.
