VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Knox County is determined to help get their students ready for the upcoming school year by setting up an easy way to get their necessary vaccines.

With the new school year just a few months away Knox county is starting an event to make sure young residents are ready with their necessary vaccinations. The Back-to-School Immunization Clinic is their answer to this. On Saturday July 27 you can bring your children, including those young adults headed off to college, to get any of their required vaccinations. There is no out-of-pocket cost for these and it will be running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This is all in an effort to make sure the health and safety of the students is their top priority. This way they can offer a convenient, accessible opportunity to make sure the students are up-to-date.

“Our goal is to make sure that every child is ready to start the school year healthy and protected,” said Dr. Alan Stewart, Health Officer of the Knox County Health Department.

You can find the clinic at the Knox County Health Department located at 328 North Second Street in Vincennes. No appointment is required for the clinic and for more information please call 812-882-8700.
