Firefighters respond to kitchen fire at Iowa City apartment building
IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Everyone safely evacuated a three-story Iowa City apartment building Thursday morning after a fire started in the kitchen of one of the units. CR Council purchases undeveloped downtown site for temporary parking, redevelopment
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Cedar Rapids City Council approved the purchase of a valuable piece of downtown real estate to ease parking problems during flood wall construction. The two lots at the corner of 1st Street and 3rd Avenue SE have long been talked about for development of a new building, but it has remained untouched for years.
