Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lucy Shocking Disappearance and Sharon Revenge

The Young and the Restless reveals Sharon's obsession with vengeance. Sharon seemed to be intent on punishing Daniel, Jr. However, if Lucy continues to approach Faith, the stakes might escalate.

What if Lucy disappears and everyone suspects she ran away, especially since Heather wants to relocate? What if Lucy is not a fugitive, but rather Sharon's hostage?

According to Y&R, Lucy is in middle school, which is a particularly difficult period for girls. That's when the kids become really harsh, vengeful, and judgmental.

Lucy’s Disappearance

This is compounded by Lucy's frequent relocations. Lucy is having trouble fitting in and making friends. Lucy has been obsessed with a potential friendship with a much older Faith.

Furthermore, Lucy uses alcohol to cope with her low self-esteem and emotional problems. Following Lucy and Faith's accident, the drinking was discovered.

Lucy had to deal with her parents discovering the truth and being indirectly responsible for the catastrophe.

Lucy's request for contact with Faith comes at the worst possible time, given Sharon's worsening mental health.

While Sharon appears to be targeting Daniel Jr., Heather recommended they leave Genoa City for a bit. Lucy panicked and said her parents were attempting to keep her away from Faith and Sharon.

That's correct, not simply Faith. Lucy explicitly mentioned Sharon and Faith. So it appears Faith may be fixated on Faith's mother as well.

The Young and the Restless shows that Faith delivered a severe reality check to Lucy. Faith informed Lucy that they could never be friends in the way she desired.

Faith also urged that Lucy get professional treatment, particularly for her drinking. Lucy was saddened and crushed, but she could have also gone into denial.

Lucy might not be willing to accept the reality.

Is Lucy Really Missing?

Lucy might have a problem like Borderline Personality problem (BPD), which causes people to take extreme measures, self-sabotage, and believe their relationships are closer than they are.

Lucy appears to believe she has a friendship with Faith, which is not the case. It might also explain Lucy's preoccupation with Faith and her destructive behavior.

Going back to Sharon, she may determine that Lucy is a threat that must be addressed. Sharon stated that she does not blame Lucy, but the youngster is also not avoiding the situation.

Sharon might decide to abduct and hold Lucy hostage in order to save Faith. Perhaps Cameron will persuade Sharon that Daniel will only comprehend if he goes through it himself.

With Lucy acting out and the shifting danger, if she disappeared, everyone would believe she fled. What if Sharon is holding Lucy hostage?
