General Hospital reports that Jason may be in for a big surprise when he returns to American soil.

Jason is about to return to Port Charles, but he’s in for more than just a warm welcome. According to General Hospital, Jason's world is about to take a dramatic turn.

After a mission to track down Lucky in Africa, Jason left Carly with tearful goodbyes, never imagining what would await him back home.

Can Old Flames Survive New Sparks?

Carly dispatched him to Africa to find Lucky, tears in her eyes. The last thing he expects to see when he returns is Carly trying to shack up with Sonny again, but that appears to be the case.

Fans have been wondering since Jason returned from the thought dead whether he and Carly will rekindle their romance now that Sonny is no longer involved.

But now he isn't. Will Jason feel ignored again, or will he be too preoccupied with his own drama with Police Commissioner Anna?

Carly can't seem to help herself. She doesn't want to avoid WSB Agent Jack, so she hasn't—despite Jason's urgent warning that she should.

More or less, he instructed her. Oops!

If she can't seem to get away from Jack, it might jeopardize her strategy to convince the authorities — and everyone else — that she's falling back in love with Sonny.

Will Jason’s Love Life Be the Next Mob War?

Bringing Jason back into the equation will undoubtedly muddle matters further.

Jason wouldn't mind if Anna arrived in Port Charles and pretended the kiss they shared in the cell at the Jenz property never occurred.

They live radically different lifestyles as mafia enforcers hit men and police commissioners.

Blending them into anything more than a temporary business partnership would make both of their lives extremely complex.

Sonny could lose his mind if Jason hooks up with a member of law enforcement. At the same moment, Carly may be doing the same thing.

Never mind that Carly is already grappling with her devotion to Sonny and her developing feelings for Jack.

If she discovers Jason is developing an interest in — or genuine feelings for — Anna, we anticipate her to react negatively.

Carly seems to do well without Jason, but she does not want anybody else to have him.

Where would these aspiring lovers end up if they allow others to take their attention?
