Young and the Restless: Sharon Dream Ends with Nick Hurtful Decision

In The Young and the Restless (Y&R), Sharon has been operating under a dangerous illusion, believing that she’s making strides toward rekindling her romance with Nick. While Nick appears to only harbor friendly feelings for Sharon, she seems convinced they’re on the path to becoming a reunited family.

With her mental state deteriorating and Cameron Kirsten continuing to manipulate her, Sharon is heading down a slippery slope.

Sharon’s False Hopes and Bold Moves

Sharon will keep thinking that she and Nick are developing a romantic relationship. Sharon obviously has the incorrect idea, but Nick honestly doesn't seem to be feeling anything more than pleasant affection for her at this time.

It's not unexpected that Sharon has made up this story about her future with Nick since she isn't thinking clearly these days. With Nick by her side, Sharon feels as though she is gradually making her way to a new beginning.

Naturally, Sharon would adore the opportunity to remarry Nick and have their family together. Sharon may eventually take some further more daring actions as part of that strategy that will surprise Nick.

Cameron Kirsten might argue that it's time to concentrate on obtaining the fresh chapter she's been pursuing when Daniel is imprisoned as a result of Sharon's frame operation.

Cameron may pretend that Nick will be grateful if Sharon takes the initiative and expresses her desires clearly. Maybe "Cameron" will argue that Sharon must express her true feelings or else she will be trapped in the friend zone indefinitely.

What’s Next for Sharon?

We also know that Devon and Abby's wedding is approaching. That might also act as a reminder to get married and prompt Sharon to consider getting married to Nick again.

Could Sharon pop the question herself as a result of all this? Perhaps Sharon will ask Nick to marry her and insist on having their ideal final wedding.

Nick might have to turn Sharon away and deal with a good amount of heartache if that is how things work out. Even though Nick will always have some affection for Sharon, he might contend that going back in that direction is simply not a smart idea.

Maybe Nick's rejection will make Sharon realize her mistake. Could Sharon suddenly realize she is been living in a fantasy world and discover she is been delusional about her desired outcomes?
