Victor Newman has never been one to back down from a challenge, and his latest mission to take control of the Chancellor and destroy Jabot is his current focus. But what happens when Victor secures his latest victories? Victor could be gearing up for a significant shift in his future plans.

Victor is working on some major projects, but what will happen if he achieves his most recent objectives? What does Victor intend to do after he takes over Chancellor and eliminates Jabot, because he doesn't anticipate failing?

Victor may feel that his task is done at that point. That might be Victor's opportunity to pull back from the corporate drama and simply enjoy his successes. Victor has attempted retirement in the past, but it clearly didn't work out. Victor obviously had a lot more gas remaining in his tank, so perhaps he retired too soon.

But in the upcoming months, Victor may decide against resigning. Given his desire to elevate Nikki to the position of Chancellor, Victor would be quite pleased if he could accomplish that. Y&R fans are aware that Victor's primary objective is to destroy Jack's business and ruin his life.

Victor might conclude that he has accomplished all of his goals if he is able to defeat his adversary and end their long-standing rivalry. Victor might feel ready to leave Newman Enterprises and retire at that point in order to spend more time with his grandchildren.

Naturally, Victor could continue to advise since it is unlikely that he will ever leave the family business entirely. Even so, if Victor can simply eliminate Jabot from the map and lock in Chancellor, he might feel at ease passing the torch.

Will Adam Betray Jack?

When it comes to Jack, Adam has no trouble assisting Victor in dealing with him because he views him as a friend. Nevertheless, if Victor makes Adam an offer he can not turn down, Adam might feel pressured to turn on Jack.

What if Adam is granted the only CEO position at Newman Enterprises by Victor, but only under one condition? It might be possible for Victor to write down that Adam can manage the business while his siblings work for him.

The problem is that Victor might ask for Adam's assistance in dealing Jack the death blow and destroying his family's reputation. Adam may need to make Jack's life a living hell in order to accept Victor's offer of the job of his dreams!

Despite his satisfaction as the head of Newman Media, Adam secretly longs for his father's large chair.
