Photos: VBFD respond to townhouse fire on Slidell Lane

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach Fire Department crews responded to a fire on Thursday, officials said.

Crews were dispatched to the 1600 Block of Slidell Lane in the Ocean Lakes area of the city.

When units arrived around 12:45 p.m., they found moderate smoke coming from the two-story townhouse. The fire was quickly extinguished. No one was home at the time of the incident. The fire was contained to the first-floor kitchen.
