I recently had the pleasure of dining at Full Kee Restaurant, a gem in Richmond known for its authentic Cantonese cuisine. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a warm, bustling atmosphere, complete with a shrine adorned with tea cups, sweet cakes, and a proud plaque declaring it as one of the top 25 restaurants in Richmond.
The seafood here is fresh, the duck juicy, and the portion sizes are generous. The furniture may have seen better days, but it's easy to overlook when the food is this good. I was particularly impressed by the General Tso Chicken served with brown rice - a delightful surprise. The steamed pork buns were a revelation, perfectly cooked with a bready, almost cake-like texture.
Despite its popularity, the service was on point and the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant also offers dim sum, a rare find in the Richmond area. It's a place where you can bring the entire crew and create your own tasting menu. If you're a fan of Asian food, Full Kee is a must-visit. Just remember, it can get crowded, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. But trust me, it's worth it!
