Tucked away in the scenic Colonial Williamsburg area, you'll find the 18th-century themed King's Seafood Market & Restaurant. As a foodie, I was intrigued by their unique offerings, especially the peanut soup which was a delightful surprise.
The combo meal is a must-try, with a variety of seafood including fried whittings, scallops, shrimp, oysters, and a side of vegetables & hush puppies. Each item was hot, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. The fries were a standout, cooked to the right crispness. The slaw, though served in a small container, was quite tasty.
The steamed and fried crabs are another highlight, seasoned just right. However, the fried fish could use a bit more flavor and the batter could stick better to the fish. The sides could also be a bit more generous.
One thing to note is that there's no eat-in space, but the overall atmosphere and speedy service make up for it. Just be prepared for a possible wait during peak hours. Despite a few minor hiccups, I'm looking forward to my return visit to King's Seafood Market & Restaurant.
