I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mama Chang, a bustling spot known for its authentic home-style Chinese cuisine. The restaurant was filled with a calm vibe, making it a perfect place to celebrate special occasions or simply enjoy a hearty meal.
The menu was brimming with a variety of options, each dish having its own unique charm. The toothpick beef and flowing sand pineapple bun were delightful, though a tad dry for pairing with rice. The spicy eggplant was a standout, and the lamb shank and braised pork belly with tea eggs were simply excellent. The spicy cumin lamb was a treat for the taste buds, with the meat coming off the bone easily. The seasonal snow pea tips, scallion pancake, mapo tofu, and hot and sour duck soup were all solid choices, each adding to the overall dining experience.
The service was efficient and friendly, although I did feel a bit rushed when the bill was brought out while I was still enjoying my entrees. Despite this, Mama Chang left a positive impression and I'm eager to return. Next time, I plan to try their braised ribs or pork, and of course, their dim sum. If you're a fan of Chinese cuisine, Mama Chang is a must-visit!
