Tucked away in a spot that might challenge your GPS, The Palisades Restaurant is a hidden gem that's absolutely worth the hunt. Once you arrive, the charm of the place envelops you, from the polite and knowledgeable servers to the quaint 'antique farmhouse' atmosphere. The menu, which changes seasonally, always offers something new and delightful. I've tried everything from the mussels and pizza to the Greek salad and the strawberry-rhubarb creme brulee. Each dish was a treat, but the pizza, with its perfect char and flavor, was particularly memorable. Just make sure to eat it there; it doesn't take to leftovers well!
The place also boasts a cute artisan shoppe next door, adding to the overall experience. Despite its remote location, the restaurant doesn't skimp on quality. The ingredients are high-quality, and you can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. The drinks menu is equally impressive, with a thoughtful selection of wines and craft beers (bottle and can only, no draft). Whether it's a date night or a dinner with the kids, The Palisades makes every dining experience special without ever making you feel rushed, even if you pop in close to closing time. It's a place I find myself returning to, eager to see what new flavors await.
