    Neighborhoods are looking out for stray cats

    Across the state of Virginia, stray cats, both feral and friendly, are roaming because shelters are full. In some neighborhoods, everyone looks out for and feeds the homless kitties.

    There are residential areas and apartment complexes in the Commonwealth where neighbors have unofficially adopted stray felinOne issue that has not come up until now is the possibility of feral cats being infected with rabies.

    Protect yourself from rabid cats

    There have been stories of foxes and other wild animals being rabid in the state, but News 13 reports that a stray kitten in Campbell County has tested positive for rabies.

    Cats are meant to be free. Out of all the cats they clam are roaming one tested positive. One! Give me a break!
