Both Texas Pete and Louisiana Hot Sauce are best sellers in Virginia

Virginians love Louisiana and Texas Pete hot sauces

This morning, I was at a Dollar Tree in Southwest Roanoke County, and the clerk told the customer in front of me that her choice of Louisiana Hot Sauce was the store chain's best-selling item in the South.

She said customers in Virginia and other Southern states enjoy thi product. Texas Pete is the hot sauce found in most homes in my neck of the woods in Southwest Virginia, and Vine Pair agrees. Their most recent survey revealed Texas Pete Hot Sauce as the number one hot sauce in the state.

Texas Pete or Louisiana?

The Pioneer Woman also lists Texas Pete as number one in the Commonwealth, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The Pioneer Woman reveals Louisiana Hot Sauce is number one not in Virginia but in seven neighboring states.

This does not invalidate what the Dollar Tree clerk said because perhaps the customers who chose Louisiana Hot Sauce were not involved in surveys regarding their favorite brand.
