Adam J Harrington bid fans farewell

Friday on General Hospital, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shot John Jagger Cates (Adam J Harrington) and, as he lay dying, shot him a second time in the chest. The mob boss has killed a federal agent in cold blood, and according to The Mirror, the majority of social media commenters are happy about it.

Virginia GH fans I have spoken with have varied responses. Some wonder if this was a dream or if Jagger was wearing a vest and won't die. Others say Agent John Cates had it coming, and they hope he is gone for good.

IDMB says Harrington responded on X with "Goodnight all" which sounds final. General Hospital did an excellent job setting up Cates so that, based on fan responses, Sonny killing him would be applauded rather than chastised. Virginia fans now the fun begins as Sonny covers his tracks so stay tuned.
