General Hospital keeps hope alive for a possible Leslie Charleson return

Monica remains in spirit

This past week at General Hospital, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) was mentioned, as she has been previously from time to time. The actress shared a few years back that she was off screen because she fell over her dog and, on a different occasions, fell while rescuing her pet turtle.

After being off-screen for two years, Monica showed up in a wheelchair in stark contrast to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), standing tall and dominating the scene. Some Virginia fans said it looked as if Charleson may have had a stroke, but this time around, she remained silent about her medical condition.

It will always be Monica's house

Steve Burton (Jason Quartermaine Morgan ) made a statement in May of this year that, while he did not share details, was pretty revealing. He let fans know his TV mom was on the mend and that he was hoping she would return to GH. He added that he would not say more out of love and respect for her.

Fans say they miss Monica sparing with Tracy, but thankfully, General Hospital is keeping hope alive that she might return. Not only is she mentioned as if she is only in another room, but the running joke continues to be told.

Not long ago, Jophelle Love's character, Violet Finn, mentioned to Tracy that the Q mansion belonged to Monica because Alan gave it to her. Whether Charleson returns to life in Port Charles or not her presence will continue to be felt and the Quartermaine home will always be hers.
