    Wendys attempts to one-up McDonald's

Have you ever noticed customers at Virginia fast-food restaurants walking away or driving off when they find out there is no Dollar Menu? Wendy's was the first to unveil its Super Value Menu in 1989, and other companies followed suit with dollar-value meals.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, however, dollar menus have disappeared from fast food chains, leading to customer frustration. However, this year, there are a few deals to take advantage of.

Mini McFlurrys are affected by machine cleaning

McDonald's sells mini-sized McFlurrys at half the regular price, but customers understand that this treat is unavailable when the machines are down for an intense four-hour cleaning.

Wendy's took advantage of their competitor's "broken" machines by offering customers $1.00 Frosty's. The fast food chain uses technology to locate the non-functioning machines and present an alternative dessert. Keep this in mind Virginians if you enjoy these treats.
