    Diddy has a trial date

Good afternoon, Virginians. Here is the latest update on Sean Combs, who has been incarcerated in New York's Metropolitan Jail since September 16. USA Today reports that on Thursday, Judge Arun Subramanian set a trial date for the rapper of May 5, 2025.

Diddy's lawyers have tried three times to get the music mogul released on bail. Still, the request continues to be denied. Based on social media comments, many Virginians believe Combs might be a flight risk because of his vast resources. His bail is being denied, however, for a different reason.

E-News uncovered documents revealing the court's concerns that Diddy would "intimidate" witnesses for the upcoming trial if he were released on bail. His lawyers say the concerns were "unfounded." It was requested that Comb's attorney's don't ask for him to released again.
