Floyd Virginia native has staying power

Morgan Dealie Wade is a Country Music singer born December 10, 1994, in Floyd, Virginia. She began her career in 2018 by recruiting musicians through Craigslist to record Puppets with My Heart.

The song is credited to The Stepbrothers. That same year, Morgan appeared with other artists in her native county at FloydFest and released her first solo album, Reckless, in 2021.

Selling 3,000 copies in its first week, Reckless charted at number 14 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers charts. Wade told the publication that the album was inspired by her struggles with her mental health, past relationships, and sobriety.

Morgan Wade is making a name for herself

Wade released Psychopath in 2023 and Obsessed in 2024. She shared with Rolling Stone Country that she became addicted to alcohol because of the stress related to recording and touring with the Stepbrothers.

Wade revealed in a Page Six exclusive in May 2023 that she tested for the RAD5ID gene — a mutation in one of the breast cancer genes that led her to have a double mastectomy. Despite so many challenges, Morgan Wade continues to move forward.
